My approach is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, somatic experience-focused, and attachment-based. During my sessions, I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Relationship Therapy.

To support holistic healing and growth, I incorporate somatic techniques into sessions including mindfulness and visualization, Somatic Parts Work, Alexander Technique, authentic movement, and breathwork.

I am a cognitive behavioral therapist, meaning that we will consider: What do you think about your situation? How do you feel about it? What are you doing about it? Then, together, we'll figure out what needs to change and how to accomplish it.
We will develop problem-solving skills to cope with difficult situations. This cultivates a greater sense of confidence in one’s own abilities. We will also identify and develop your own strengths through art-based techniques.

I emphasize the use of art-making, along with Psychodynamic and CBT, to help challenge and change negative thought patterns, emotions and behaviors. I try to use humor when appropriate to keep my clients comfortable in session.
