When you enter my office, you will be met with compassion and understanding, gentleness, comfort, and space for you to unpack your struggles.
I combine techniques from various theories to meet each client where they are at and use the skills that will best meet their needs. Therapy is not one size fits all, and I work to match my approach to each individual within my office.
Work to identify the root causes of your struggles, explore patterns of behavior to identify possible triggers, build coping mechanisms that meet your underlying needs, and develop a plan for growth.
Do you find yourself weighed down by negative thoughts, memories, or flashbacks? Maybe you find that feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or numbness prevent you from living the life you want to be. Is your child weighed down by anxiety or mood swings?
My hope for you is that you become empowered to use your innate strengths, values, and experiences, to lead the way toward stability and growth.
My office is situated between the Old Dominion University campus and Norfolk Naval Station, which provides short commutes for plenty of individuals.
On my path to licensure, and what continues today is a mindset of lifelong learning as evidenced by attending continuing education classes that help me stay up to date with the latest information and research on mental health and human growth fields.
