Working with me will feel like two friends talking while maintaining professionalism. I will provide you with a laid-back, non-judgemental approach.
I tend to take what we call a "person-centered approach" to therapy which basically means that I trust you to make the best decisions for yourself. But don't worry, I will guide you along that process. I work best with clients motivated for growth!
It can be tempting to try to "figure it out" on your own or feel like you don't have a significant enough reason to come to therapy. I've heard this many times before. You deserve to be here as much as anyone else.
Most of my clientele consists of college students - I am right at that millennial/Gen-Z mark myself so I can usually relate to many of the life transitions you are experiencing. I also work with adult professionals simply navigating through life.
Your first session with me will look however you need. Got something urgent on your mind that you need to process while we have the hour? Let's dive right into it. Don't know where to begin? I can take the lead! I am here to provide direction.
