someone who believes in your ability to be happy, who will come alongside you to work together to figure out how to get there. Someone they trust.
I am kind, quiet, and very good with silences. I am affirming but firm, encouraging but honest, and believe every client has strengths they can bring to the process. I strive to create a safe and ethical space for people to be vulnerable.
figure out how you can be happy. While I specialize in identity, gender, and sexuality, I also bring a queer lens to everyday struggles with anxiety, grief, depression, and relationships, whatever your identity. People are complicated! That's okay.
need help. We both know we're doing therapy, and there's strength in that admission. I will coax and question and offer insights and tools, but you will have to do the work to be honest, investigate feelings, and explore change. You can do it.
I had difficulty finding a therapist I could connect with. I wanted to offer a space that was unquestionably welcoming of everyone.
My office is quiet and calm, in Downtown Overland Park, with off-street parking and easy access from a lot of locations in the KC Metro.
My practice is called Hopepunk Therapy because I hold people gently, but also fiercely. You are capable of so many things! I believe that, and hope to give you a space to explore, learn, and build the tools you need to be happier.
