I don't just sit back and listen. We collaborate and get curious, creative, and honest together. My clients find this approach a welcome challenge.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is both highly backed by over 30 years of research, and a deeply personal, meaningful approach to helping people get unstuck. ACT moves at your pace while continuing to challenge you to move forward.
I often say, "I don't teach coping skills." Coping is what you've done before we met, and now the work is about thriving. We will do meaningful, expansive work together.
1) Feel burned out, overwhelmed, spread thin, and exhausted 2) Feel a lack of meaning, motivation, or reason in their lives 3) Feel disconnected from other, caught in cycles of arguing, shut down, resentment, and anger
I dropped out of college at 18 and was struggling to find meaning in my life. Therapy helped me and I became curious about the process of change.
I love in-person therapy because the office is a sacred space designed for healing. Finding in-person therapists is becoming more and more difficult.
I love what I do. I'm constantly reading, going to trainings, and investigating psychology. I'm also a teacher, trainer, supervisor, and lifelong student of this work. I try to make my office a sacred space for healing.
