During our time together you'll learn how to practice self-compassion and validation over time and gently reframe some of your tough thoughts.
I will balance affirming your thoughts and feelings and gently challenging you into new patterns of thinking or being. You will learn essentially, how to think like a therapist.
Together we will explore what therapeutic skills you want to learn to meet life's challenges, and how your identities are impacted by challenges. Life isn't about avoiding our hard feelings, but how to weather the storm when tough times arise.
If you identify as a worrier, or have been impacted by anxiety, I am your therapist. We will examine the ways in which your worries have served a function in the past, but now you are feeling ready to move past them.
Giving back to the Queer community is important to me. Supporting other LGBTQ folks navigate life challenges is one of my passions.
We will likely equally laugh and cry during your time in therapy. Humor feels connective and is important to me as a therapist.
My practice is a reflection of my caring for Queer folks and my effort to support people during tough times in life. This can include relationships beginning or ending. A new work or life transition, or just creating space to check in with yourself.
